Mahrez Hat-Trick Sends Manchester City to FA Cup Final

Riyad Mahrez Nets Historic Treble, City Advances to Title Match

Manchester City Triumphs with 12th FA Cup Final Appearance

Riyad Mahrez etched his name into FA Cup history on Saturday, becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in a semi-final since 1958. His heroics propelled Manchester City to a 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, securing their place in the FA Cup final for the 12th time.

"I'm very happy today. It's a great feeling to score three goals and help my team reach the final," said Mahrez after the match. "We've been working hard all season, and it's a great reward to reach the final."

City's dominance was evident from the start, as they controlled possession and created numerous chances. Mahrez broke the deadlock in stunning fashion in the first half, curling a shot into the top corner. He added two more goals in the second half, completing his historic hat-trick and sending City into the final.

"It was a great performance from the team," said City manager Pep Guardiola. "We controlled the game from the start and created many chances. Riyad was exceptional today, and I'm delighted for him."

Manchester United and Brighton will now face off in the FA Cup final on May 27th at Wembley Stadium. City will be looking to win their sixth FA Cup title, while United will be aiming to secure their first since 2016.
