Estranged Wife of Suspected Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Speaks Out

Marianne Patino Likens Former Home to "House of Horrors"

Rex Heuermann Charged in Long Island Killings

Babylon resident Marianne Patino, the estranged wife of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann, has broken her silence following his arrest. Patino described their former home as a "house of horrors," where Heuermann was meticulous in his professional pursuits but allegedly kept a sinister secret life.

Heuermann, who worked as a landscaper in Manhattan, is facing charges in connection with the Gilgo Beach serial killings, which have claimed the lives of at least 10 women. Authorities believe that Heuermann lured the victims to the remote beach area under the guise of consensual sex work and then murdered them.

Patino, who has been living in Babylon since the couple's separation in 2019, said that Heuermann kept his violent tendencies hidden from her. She described him as a "master manipulator" who had a double life that she never suspected.

Police have been searching Heuermann's home for evidence, removing items such as computers and cell phones. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine Heuermann's possible involvement in additional crimes.
