Madsen, who plays Cressida Cowper on "Bridgerton," reveals she was in love with a woman

Jessica Madsen, who plays Cressida Cowper on the hit Netflix show "Bridgerton," has come out as bisexual in an Instagram post.

"I'm so proud to be who I am," she wrote. "I've always known that I was different, but it wasn't until recently that I realized that I'm bisexual. I'm still learning about myself and my sexuality, but I'm so grateful for the love and support of my friends and family."

Madsen, who was born in England in 1992, is best known for her roles as Cressida on "Bridgerton" and Clarice in the 2017 horror film "Leatherface."

Her coming out has been met with praise from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Many have taken to social media to share their support, including "Bridgerton" co-star Nicola Coughlan, who wrote, "I'm so proud of you, Jessica. You're an inspiration to us all."

Madsen's coming out is a reminder that there is no one right way to be bisexual. It is a fluid and diverse spectrum that includes people of all genders, races, and sexual orientations.
